chart-mixedPortfolio Overview

The Portfolio Overview page provides a consolidated view of the carbon and energy performance across all buildings in the portfolio. It helps you understand the total carbon footprint of the organization, track progress toward sustainability goals, and compare performance against baselines. The dashboard can be filtered to include all buildings in the portfolio or only those of a selected organization.

  • Average Whole Life Carbon Intensity: The sum of the carbon emissions from all included buildings divided by the total floor area. This metric reflects both embodied and operational carbon over the building's lifetime and helps gauge the organization’s overall decarbonization efforts over time.

  • Average Embodied Carbon Intensity: The sum of the total embodied carbon of all buildings divided by the sum of the gross floor area of all buildings.

  • Average Operational Carbon Intensity: The sum of the total operational carbon from all buildings (over their 60-year lifetime) divided by the sum of the gross floor area of all buildings.

  • Total Energy Use Intensity (TEUI): The sum of the total energy use of all buildings in the portfolio divided by the sum of the gross floor area of all buildings.

Export Portfolio Report

At the top right of the page you have the option to export a report of your full portfolio. This will provide you with the raw life cycle analysis data for all the buildings in your portfolio including A1-A3, A1-A5, and A1-C4 emissions and baseline emissions for each building. To see an example see the Example Portfolio Carbon Report in the Example Reports section.

Graphs

SBTI Decarbonization Curves

The first graph on this page compares your annual emissions to the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) goals. It includes two reference curves: one for office buildings and another for residential buildings. The bars represent your organization’s annual A1-A5 emissions for buildings completed in each respective year. For more details on the data and assumptions used to determine these SBTi curves for your organization, please refer to the SBTI toolarrow-up-right.

Decarbonization Progress Graph

A visualization of the portfolio’s progress toward its carbon goals over time. The graph can be filtered by scope. Solid orange points represent the average annual carbon intensity, while hollow points show the projected average carbon intensity, factoring in buildings in design and development. The dotted orange line projects future performance based on the current trajectory, the purple points reflect portfolio-wide goals, and the gray line shows the pathway to achieve these goals. The portfolio wide goal is determine from the goals that you have set in the settings.

Scope Graph

A graph that breaks down the scope emissions of the organization. Emissions from each project are calculated based on the organization’s role and are accounted for as direct or indirect emissions accordingly.
